Pouring the concrete for the forms.
Olivia had to check things out with Daddy!
And then they just wanted to play in the dirt!
Bath time for Lucas!
Going after his fingers!
Today started with a bit of a surprise. Dave Erxleben and two other guys showed up bright and early to start the concrete work we are getting done this summer. Shane is eventually going to add another garage to the house, so needs to get the concrete pad done first. We had no idea they were starting already so Shane was so excited. So excited in fact, that he had to get off early to supervise.
Lucas had his two week follow up today, which was a wonderful visit....we love Dr. Baety! Lucas was wide awake the entire time and did so well. He was very laid back the whole time we were there. Dr. Baety said he rarely sees them this calm at the two week visit, so was impressed. Even more surprising was that Lucas already weighed 8 pounds, 6 ounces which far exceeds the expectations. At two weeks, they hope for them to be back to their birth weight, which was 7 pounds, 8 ounces for Lucas, so he is definitely eating well. He was also 21 3/4 inches long, so had grown almost two inches. He also checked his ears, eyes, lungs, spine, etc, etc, etc and all was perfect. Dr. Baety gave me a few more tips about nursing, so I am hopeful it will continue to get better, as it is still psinful on one side. Dr. Baety was wonderful and actually just held Lucas for a few minutes and didn't want to put him down. He is a great doctor and we love going to him for both kids!!!
After a few more errands with Lucas, we came home and I went to get Olivia from school while Daddys stayed home with Lucas. The Oaklane garage sales were starting today, so Olivia and I took a walk to check them out. Then it was dinner, baths for the kids and a relaxing evening.
